Canadian designer Darlene Lee calls herself a ‘Jack of all Trades,’ with a Masters in Design. During her career she has designed for famous designers such as Ralph Lauren, Martha Stewart and Calvin Klein while continuing her own design studio. Her broad range has enabled her to make ventures into product ideation, conceptual commercial design and new market frontiers. There is hardly a household in North America that does not contain a product influenced by her designs.
With a Bachelors degree from the University of Calgary and a Masters in Industrial Design from the Pratt Institute in New York. Darlene continues to believe in the value of Design Education. She has taught at the Alberta University of the Arts (formerly the Alberta College of Art + Design), the University of Calgary and the Pratt Institute in New York. As a founding member of the Association of Women Industrial Designers (AWID), Darlene facilitates access to design talent, networking and social interaction in the design community.
Darlene has been honored with multiple AFA (Alberta Foundation of the Arts) Multidisciplinary/New Media Grants. Her work is in private and corporate collections. The creation of her own design firm marks a new period in her work. As creative director, Darlene oversees a wide variety of projects and clients, both domestic and international.
